The "D" in Fe 550D stands for ductility. It yields at the same 550 N/mm² as Fe 550 but stretches to 14.5% before it fails. That makes it the grade for earthquake-resistant design. For most homes, Fe 500 is the right call.

Our Fe 550 bars carry the CII GreenPro Ecolabel (valid till December 2027), RD TMT bars are rated 5-star Green Steel by the Ministry of Steel, and our BIS licences are on file. How to choose a TMT bar supplier in Bengaluru
