What bulk supply means for a site
A bulk order is rarely one size. A slab takes 8 and 12 mm; a column takes 20 and 25 mm. A site needs different sizes on different days, and the supplier has to deliver in phases.
- Grade and chemistry. The bars match the drawing, and the chemistry stays consistent across the whole order.
- Size mix. The mix of sizes matches your bar bending schedule, not a single-size catalogue.
- Phased delivery. Steel arrives when the pour is ready. Not all at once, and not a day late.
Get any one wrong and you feel it in a delayed pour or steel sitting on site. A supplier who plans all three together keeps the project moving.
The grades contractors need, and which one to pick

Ductility matters as much as strength in earthquake-prone zones. Fe 550D stretches to 14.5% before it breaks, the most of our three grades, which is why structural engineers specify it for seismic work. For most residential frames, Fe 500 is enough.

Frequently asked questions
Which grades does RD TMT make?
Fe 500, Fe 550 and Fe 550D, all to IS 1786:2008. Fe 550D has higher elongation and tighter chemistry, which is what engineers ask for in earthquake-resistant design.
Which sizes are available for bulk orders?
8, 10, 12, 16, 20, 25 and 32 mm TMT bars in 12 m lengths. MS billets come in 100, 110, 125 and 150 mm square sections.
What is the difference between Fe 550 and Fe 550D?
Both have a minimum yield strength of 550 N/mm². The D stands for ductility: Fe 550D has 14.5% minimum elongation against 10%, which suits seismic zones and structures that must bend without breaking.
