GreenPro certified TMT bars.
The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has certified RD TMT Fe 550 bars as a Green Product under the GreenPro Ecolabel. All seven sizes, 8 mm to 32 mm, carry their own certificate. If your building is going for an IGBC or other green rating, this is the steel document the consultant asks for.

Performance certificates

Before it leaves the plant
Four checks on every batch.
A certificate shows the system was audited. These are the tests every lorry-load of RD TMT bars has already passed before it reaches your site.
Chemistry test at the furnace
A sample from every heat goes to the spectrometer before casting. Carbon, sulphur and phosphorus must be within the grade limit.
Strength test in the NABL lab
Bars are pulled to failure in our NABL-accredited lab for yield strength, tensile strength and elongation, then bent and rebent as IS 1786 requires.
Size and weight check
Rib pattern and weight per metre are checked on the cooling bed against IS 1786 Table 1, so a 12 mm bar weighs what the schedule says.
Test certificate with every load
The heat number goes on the bundle tag and on the test certificate that travels with the lorry. The paper on site matches the steel on site.
Green steel
5-star Green Steel. Rated by the Ministry of Steel.
The National Institute of Secondary Steel Technology, set up by the Ministry of Steel, measured the carbon emissions of RD TMT bars at 0.63 tonnes of CO2 per tonne of steel. That earns the highest 5-star rating under the Government of India green steel norms, with 71.22% greenness. Together with the GreenPro ecolabel and ISO 14001, it makes RD TMT a simple choice for low-carbon construction.
