Four checks, every batch.
A certificate on a wall says a system was audited once a year. These are the tests a single lorry-load of RD TMT steel has already passed by the time it reaches your site.
Mechanical, in the lab
Coupons are pulled to failure on the UTM for yield, ultimate tensile strength and elongation, then bent and rebent to the IS 1786 mandrel radius.
Dimensions, on the bed
Rib pitch, rib height and mass per metre are checked on the cooling bed against the nominal figures in IS 1786 Table 1.
Traceability, at the gate
The heat number follows the bar onto the bundle tag and onto the certificate that travels with the lorry, so the paperwork on site matches the steel on site.
